A free e-Learning course for Aucklanders to learn the basics of waste in Auckland, which can be used at any age and stage. In this 2-hour course, you will learn everything you need to know about how you can join the journey towards zero waste, by reducing and better managing your waste at home.

It covers the context of waste in Auckland, the basics of recycling, Auckland’s inorganic collection service, and a range of options for keeping organic waste out of landfill.

We will also direct you to organisations and resources that are available to dive deeper into these topics and share inspiring stories from community members working in this space across our region.

This online course was created to be a user-friendly, interactive learning tool to educate individuals of all waste knowledge levels on our waste problem in Auckland, and what they can do to play their part.

The course contains videos, quizzes, and games to cement the learning and is a great tool for any age and stage.
