ANAMATA COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRE

The Anamata (Aotea) Community Recycling Centre is where you can drop off unwanted items and materials for reuse and recycling. The aim is to reduce waste to landfill by reusing, re-purposing and recycling as much as possible. The centre has a shop on site, which sells household goods, building materials, and upcycled crafts and treasures. On Aotea, Anamata is responsible for all the recycling on the island. Envirokiwi Community Enterprise, contracted to operate the Community Recycling Centre, transports recyclables off-island for further processing and is also working to explore on-island uses for materials.

Sorted recycling can be dropped to the recycling centre for free.

Gate fees current as of 1 July 2023.
